Dexter is back with a brand new viral

I’ve blogged before about the brilliant dexter viral campaign they did a bit over a year ago.
Well they’re back with a second viral for season 3. Since blogging about it originally I’ve become addicted to the show and have watched season 1 and 2 back to back.
This viral is much the same in [...]

Moo do business cards

Some great news - Moo, who have previously printed gorgeous little photo cards, are now doing full sized business cards.

It’s US$21.99 for 50 business cards and they can take the photos straight from your Flickr stream, facebook or you can upload them yourself.
You have a photo on one side, and up to 11 lines [...]

Webmonkey’s back and looking good

Back when I first started coding HTML in 1996, one of the most valuable resources I used was Webmonkey. It was by far the best site available, offering step by step tutorials as well as more advanced techniques. It was fantastic for both learning new languages and getting more skillful at those you already knew [...]

Read at work in peace

I’m so grateful I no longer need to utilise sites like this but Ms Fits has just pointed out a great site called Read at Work. If you’re gasping with boredom but also have to be careful about who can see your screen, the site disguises itself as a Windows desktop with the links in [...]

I want google street view driving directions

This video is one of the most exciting developments in street view that I’ve seen.

I can’t wait for this to launch in Sydney. I hate looking out for street signs as I’m driving, or trying to figure out how far down the road my destination is when I’m looking for specific buildings, restaurants, [...]

Great site for funky tshirts

A creative director I used to work with has packed in his corporate job and decided to setup a tshirt company.
Adam Hunt is now GoatBoy, a company claiming irony will set you free (well that or wearing ironic tshirts). Either way, they make some funky shirts and they have a pretty cool site too.

Cheaper than a sky-writer I guess

You really know an app has come into its element when there is a marraige proposal via the tool.

I know I am an early adopter and a geek but I guess I’m a bit old-fashioned in that I like my proposals to be face to face and more than 140 characters.

My new personal assistant

I’m beta-testing a new personal assistant. Ok, she’s not a real person, she’s I Want Sandy, an electronic organiser.

It’s pretty simple to use, I email or text (well, in the US I could text her, from Australia I can’t yet) a message like “remind me to buy a birthday present for Josh on Friday [...]

Virgin Charter

Virgin has been very busy in America, launching Virgin Charter (although the service won’t be live until February). It’s the perfect premise - as air travel gets more and more unpleasant, particularly in the US, why not make it easy for people who can afford it to charter their own plane.

It’s something I’d definitely [...]

Web Design Survey from A List Apart

A List Apart has just released their findings of their first Web Design Survey.
It’s very interesting, they had 33,000 respondents so I assume it’s one of the biggest surveys undertaken in our industry. I think they have learned a lot for the next survey, such as not asking ambiguous questions - when asking ethnicity [...]
