Earlier this year I was gutted to miss the New York Web Week by a couple of days. But things are looking up as Web Directions launches Web Week from October 2-9 in Sydney. And even better, loads of the events are free.
The schedule is already packed with awesome events, from an exhibition by fail-whale illustrator Yiying Lu, who did a great presentation at the 2nd Ignite Sydney, to a meetup celebrating Commons on Flickr, to careers on the web and even rockclimbing. On top of that, we’re also announcing the 3rd Ignite Sydney, to be held in conjunction with Web Week. This Ignite is going to have a bit more of a web theme due to Web Week, so if you have an idea, let us know and come along to present.
Well done to Maxine and John for pulling this together. Who needs New York - we have it all in Sydney this year.
