The Molt:n Digital team are heading to Denver for the Web Directions North conference, and man, am I excited.
There are some brilliant presenters so I’m looking forward to the talks… there seems to be a big focus on mobile web so I’m hoping someone there will be able to fix my iphone so it stops dropping out. If they could solve that whole “answer phone calls even with wet sandy hands” thing, that would be an added bonus.
I’m really looking forward to the networking too, with an Ignite Denver and Refresh Denver happening on the Tuesday night, and I really can’t wait to catch up with friends that I’ve met at SXSW, Web Directions and other conferences.
It will be interesting to be immersed in the US digital space for a week or so. I found SXSW completely eye-opening in how small our Australian scene is - everyone really does know everyone here, which is great for community, but not quite the same thing as running into Sergey Brin or Mark Zuckerberg in the beer lineup.
I haven’t been back to Denver since I was 16 so I really want to see what’s changed. Well, I’m allowed into bars now, for one thing…
