Gorgeous ambient marketing from the SF Zoo

The San Francisco Zoo is trying to get San Franciscans to connect with their inner animals, and have engaged BBDO West to create a campaign to engage the city.

They have created posters across bus shelters and at the zoo that have partial animals on them and encourage users to get their photo taken in front of them.

You then upload the photo at the SFZoo website and join their image gallery.

I really really love this campaign, it’s so simple yet so beautiful. It’s awesome to see the joy in some of the photos, I think people are really getting a kick out of the whole campaign. It’s something that can temporarily brighten someone’s day, and that’s nice marketing.

If I was in SF I’d go and visit the zoo.
