Hope you all have your tickets as it’s less than a week until Web Directions South 07.
I can’t wait, I feel like I really need some inspiration at the moment (I’m having one of those weeks) and I’m really looking forward to being challenged by really smart people and listening to interesting talks.
The speakers all look great this year but my favourite part is always the socialising. I particularly like WDS as there’s a really good mix of women to men. Sorry boys, but it does get tedious usually being one of the few females at tech conferences, although it’s nice to not have to lineup for the loos. So I’m really looking forward to catching up with friends old and new, and putting faces to some of the blogs I’ve discovered since WD last year.
So if you see me, come up and say hi. I apologise in advance though, as I’m really terrible with faces. I actually think I have a mild form of face-blindness.
Unless I’ve met you about 10-15 times, or unless you look particularly distinctive (facial piercings, tattoos, crazy hair, etc) I really can’t distinguish your face from everyone else, everyone looks the same to me. So if I’ve met you before and introduce myself as if I don’t know you, I’m sorry. I’ll probably remember your name if it helps :)
