Interesting to note MTV’s move away from Flash because of the usability issues (but also read the comments, you can’t please everyone…)
“Today, we’ve gone ahead and flipped the switch. The Flash site is gone. If you were digging that, we’re sorry. We have good reason to believe that you will enjoy our content via the HTML version even more.”

Oliver: wow, it really looks like they hired a new savvy online person at MTV to switch it up. If even MTV can realise that Flash isn’t the right tool to build a website in, there’s hope for MSN yet.

The ad banners in the Messenger Tabs (on PC, not Mac) allow Flash, so that might be a reason they ask you to download Flash.

JJ - great, so they’re forcing me to download a program I don’t want so I can view ads I don’t want to see…
