Interesting to note MTV’s move away from Flash because of the usability issues (but also read the comments, you can’t please everyone…)

Oliver: wow, it really looks like they hired a new savvy online person at MTV to switch it up. If even MTV can realise that Flash isn’t the right tool to build a website in, there’s hope for MSN yet.

The ad banners in the Messenger Tabs (on PC, not Mac) allow Flash, so that might be a reason they ask you to download Flash.
JJ - great, so they’re forcing me to download a program I don’t want so I can view ads I don’t want to see…
