I pretty much feel the same way chez, but it’s such a good tool for keeping tabs on my boyfriend… hey, I might twitter that!

I hate twitter because it DROPS MESSAGES!! I always seem to miss important messages in a conversation, and then nothing makes sense. Does anyone else have this problem?
Ha!
It’s a little ironic that I just sent a message through your contact page asking if YOU were on Twitter. I guess my take on it is a bit different because I’ve found so many great UX and creative people via Twitter. Before I joined, I thought I wasn’t going to waste my time on it. Thereafter, I realized some of its potential for developing relationships, referrals, finding stuff, etc.
Have your thoughts about Twitter changed much since ‘07?
Just noticed the content of this article has been lost, I think it was when I upgraded Wordpress and didn’t back up my database.
Yep, my thoughts on Twitter have definitely changed since then. I wrote this right after SXSW in 07 when it was still a fairly new app for everyone and there was a tendency to “over-twitter” - people would tweet that they were going to the bathroom, were thirsty, were thinking about getting some water, were hungry, etc.
I no longer follow people who over-tweet, which has changed my outlook considerably.
Also since then I’ve started working from home rather than in an office so I find it an incredibly valuable way of keeping ambient intimacy going with other industry folk, as well as finding things, referrals, etc.
So…umm.. what did you have for lunch? :P
*runs away*
