Scott Gledhill has been working online for almost 10 years. In 1999, Scott worked as a desktop publisher in London and built a personal travel website on the side to document his travels across the globe. This switched him on to the world of web design, which he has been involved with ever since.
Scott works with XHTML, CSS and JavaScript to create easy to use, accessible and web standards compliant websites on all of his projects. When working for large corporations Scott created methods and communication tools to make these web standards idealogies work in larger, more complex environments.
Search engine optimisation (SEO) is also one of Scott's core specialties, which he incorporates into his development work, as well as consults on best practice strategies for companies of all sizes. Scott has long believed that SEO success can only be achieved by balancing all elements of web design such as usability, information architecture and solid coding architecture.
Scott often speaks and writes on subjects such as corporate web standards and search engine optimisation at conferences or just writes his thoughts in his personal blog, Standardzilla.
